House Bug
We would like to provide a brief update regarding a recently discovered issue related to our house system.

Around three weeks ago, we introduced the foundation for a future house customization feature that will eventually allow players to change the appearance of beds inside their houses. While the visual customization options themselves have not yet been released, part of the underlying system was already implemented in preparation for this feature.

During a routine review, we identified a rare issue that could occur when a player lost Premium Account status and, as a result, lost ownership of their house. Under very specific circumstances, items stored inside containers that were automatically transferred from the house to the depot could be duplicated.

The issue was caused by the house cleanup process that restores customized beds back to their default appearance when a house is removed. Due to an unexpected interaction within that cleanup routine, it was possible for the transfer process to pass through the same container more than once while moving items from the house to the depot. As a result, certain containers could be processed twice, creating duplicate copies of their contents. This was not related to normal gameplay and could only occur during the automatic house removal procedure triggered by Premium Account expiration.

After discovering the issue, we immediately conducted a complete investigation covering the period from May 20th to June 11th. During that time, a total of 60 players lost house ownership due to Premium Account expiration. We carefully reviewed every affected character and examined the corresponding database records from the exact dates when their houses were removed.

Our investigation confirmed that only 5 players were affected by this issue. In all cases, the duplicated items were limited to backpacks that had been automatically transferred from the house to the depot. All duplicate items have already been removed and the affected inventories have been corrected.

Because this issue could not be intentionally triggered, reproduced on demand, or abused in a reliable way, no players will receive penalties related to this matter.

Most importantly, the underlying cause has been identified and fully fixed. Additional safeguards have also been added to prevent the same container from ever being processed more than once during house cleanup operations. We have completed a thorough review of all potentially affected accounts to ensure that the game economy and overall server integrity remain intact.

As an extra precaution, we have temporarily disabled house transfers and voluntary house removals through the !sellhouse and !leavehouse commands until tomorrow (12/06). While our investigation found no evidence of any related issues outside of Premium Account house removals, we prefer to take a cautious approach and allow additional monitoring time before re-enabling these features.

We believe transparency is important, which is why we wanted to share both the cause of the issue and the steps taken to resolve it. Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
